Armenian wine has no registered protected designations of origin (PDO) yet.

A protected name ties a place to its wine: which varieties, where the grapes grow, how the wine is made. It gives buyers something to rely on and gives a wine country recognised zones. We very much look forward to Armenia adopting such names soon: they help winemaking in the country grow.
Until then, a region or village on the label is the producer's own statement. We show each wine's region from our sources.
Once names are registered, this page will list them with their dates and the catalogue's wines.
