Ararati

Ararati is a white grape named after Mount Ararat. It ripens late and resists disease, has large, juicy greenish-yellow berries and grows in the highlands of Vayots Dzor. VIVC classes it as a table grape and lists Achabash (Khachabash) among its synonyms; as a wine grape it is a rarity — Zorah ferments it on the skins and blends it with Khndoghni.
