Milar

Milar is a black-berried Armenian grape found in several regions; Zorah considers the high limestone vineyards of Vayots Dzor its best ground and has propagated it since 2019 from old vines around its estate. Its wine is deep ruby, with high acidity and firm tannins. The variety’s identity is not fully settled: VIVC lists Milari as a separate Armenian variety but also as a synonym of Areni.
