Estate winery

The label of the diaspora-run Highland Cellars project, on the market since 2015. Its vineyards lie in Vayots Dzor, in the historic village of Aghavnadzor: 14.5 hectares for red varieties bought in 2017 and a further 10 hectares of Voskehat added in 2020. Three varieties are worked — Areni and Khndoghni for the reds, Voskehat for the whites. The name recalls the ancient Armenian river craft that carried merchants down the Euphrates.
