Tushpa

Small family winery

A family estate of the Manasseryan family in the Ararat Valley, 35 km from Yerevan near Taperakan village. The first vines went in in 1992; today 6 hectares sit at roughly 820 m on clay soils, half at the winery itself and half in neighbouring Taperakan. Two varieties are grown — Kangun for whites and Haghtanak for reds — under a one-grape-one-wine rule. Wine production was suspended in 2003 in favour of the Arnak brandy brand and resumed after a rebrand.
