Yacoubian-Hobbs
A joint venture between Californian winemaker Paul Hobbs and the Yacoubian family, formalised as a partnership in 2008. The estate vineyard lies at Aghavnadzor in Vayots Dzor at 1378–1440 m on volcanic soils: a 44-acre site with 16.94 acres planted in 2017. Plantings mix the local Areni, Voskehat, Kakhet and Khatuni with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The range covers a dry white and Areni reds including Sarpina, with Paul Hobbs as winemaker.
