Khndoghni
Khndoghni, also known as Sireni, is a black grape from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), where it grows at low altitudes in a mild climate. It ripens mid-season and has compact bunches of very dark berries; it tolerates summer drought but is sensitive to winter cold. It gives dark, tannic reds and appears in wines from Maran, Zorah and Alluria, on its own or blended with Areni.
