Merlot

Merlot is a red variety from Bordeaux; VIVC records its parents as Cabernet Franc and Magdeleine Noire des Charentes. In Armenia it is a blending grape: Armenia Wine pairs it with Cabernet Franc in Bione Red and the organic Gavat, with Areni in Takar Merlot and with Areni and Cabernet Sauvignon in Tariri Red, while Trinity Canyon Vineyards in Vayots Dzor blends it with Areni and Syrah in Crossroads Red.
