About the winery
Byuregh Alco is a distillery and winery in the town of Byureghavan, Kotayk province, founded in 1996. It started with vodka on its own ethyl alcohol (2002) and added wine and brandy production in 2004. The wines — dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet reds and a rosé, sold under labels such as Areni, Karmir, Znaberd, Arshaluys, Nran and Harutyun — are made from grapes procured in the Ararat valley.
