STORK

Small family winery

A label from Cascara, set up in 2020 in Aragatsotn. Its first wine, a dry white from Kangun, reached the Armenian market in summer 2021. A new 4.5-hectare vineyard was planted in 2023 on the edge of Sasunik village near Ashtarak at around 1,100 metres; an earlier plot lies in the Ararat valley. The plantings cover Chardonnay, Syrah, Montepulciano, Areni, Voskehat and Kangun. Bottling and visitor tastings happen at the small Stork Nest Winery in Sasunik. The name and the flying-stork label came after the founder started photographing the birds around the Armenian countryside.
