Van Ardi
A small family estate near Sasunik, outside Ashtarak, founded by Varuzhan Mouradian, who returned to Armenia from the United States in 2008 to plant vineyards. It works as an estate winery, bottling wine from its own parcels at roughly 1,050 m on limestone and volcanic soils, with own-rooted, ungrafted vines. The estate farms organically and is certified by Ecoglobe, the local agency accredited under the US National Organic Program. Van Ardi is credited with being the first to plant Areni commercially in the Ashtarak area.
