Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a white variety from Burgundy; DNA data recorded in VIVC show it to be an offspring of Pinot and Gouais Blanc. In Armenia it is still a minor grape. Trinity Canyon Vineyards in Vayots Dzor blends it with the local Khatun Kharji, 40 to 60, in Crossroads White; Yacoubian-Hobbs grows it at Aghavnadzor, and STORK planted it near Sasunik in Aragatsotn in 2024, turning the first harvest of 2025 into a pét-nat.
