Rkatsiteli

Rkatsiteli is a white variety from Kakheti and the most widely planted grape in Georgia. In Armenia it is known above all as a parent of Kangun, which VIVC records as bred at the Armenian research institute of viticulture in 1979 from Sukholimansky White and Rkatsiteli. Eraskh grows 36 hectares of Rkatsiteli at Aralez in the Ararat valley, and in our catalogue it is blended with Kangun in ArmAs’s estate white and in Armenia Wine’s Yerevan whites.
